Look I am not a "black helicopter" guy...but this is interesting. I do remember the morning of the shooting that the MSM said the FBI had taken his father to Colorado. I thought that was kinda odd...they could have interviewed him in SD. Not sure this will get any kinda press.

The System...in place to keep the system growing.
Ok so in a previous rant I was bitching about the social services system that I am now a part of... you can read it here if ya haven't already...
Well now I am paying into the child/spousal support program. The way the program works until they start to dock my check I send them a check. Then when they get the check they send the payment to my wife. Now that process takes over a week. So my wife calls them and says "Can he just give me a check directly? "..."No that is not how the process works, yes he can give you a check, but that will not be credited as a support payment. We must process the check, then we release the money to you." ... "But we really need the money now and he is willing to give us a check or cash and if I give him a receipt that I got the money and it was for the support isn't that good enough". ... "NO! He must mail the payment to our office and we will process it and then credit the payment and release the finds to you." ... "Why can't he just pay me and save the time and hassle, plus we really need the money now." ..."Because we must process the payment first and then release the funds to you...that is how the system works."
So I sent the check...and loaned her some money until she gets the money from me via the state agency that will cash the check and send her a payment.
THE SYSTEM IS FUCKED! The system is set up to keep the system set up. By paying her directly...that leaves 6 or 10 state employees out of the loop. And what if EVERYONE that has a civil relationship with their spouse wanted to do the same. MY GOD!!!! That would lead to the elimination of a few jobs and the system cannot have that. What is that line from Blazing Saddles... "We have to protect our phoney baloney jobs here, gentlemen!"... And that is what the bulk of the system...and really it is any governmental system is about.
So instead of letting people use common sense, and working things out among themselves if they can. They mandate a bureaucratic cock block every step of the way.
And this is just a social program that not everyone participates in. Imagine what the Ocare will be like when every person in the USA has to be involved. FUCKED...that will be the nice word for it...more like America will be OBAMAED.

The devil is in the details...and other things.
So I have been reading up on the pending Ocare. And well lets just say the devil is in the details.
First off if you have over 50 (not sure if that is total workers or total insured workers) you will have to pay a tax of $2000 on each person that is not insured. So I am guessing that if you are covered under your spouse's policy at another job you would have to show proof. A new level of record keeping for the HR department. And I am sure that would have to be checked every 6 months or so.
I wonder how many empoyers are gonna keep their payroll at 49? I wonder how many are gonna reclassify their people as private contractors? I wonder how many are gonna save $$$ buy just paying the TAX because it would be cheaper than paying the insurance?
Then the individual has to pay a tax of between $95 to $695. But I am sure that would be just a line item on the 1090EZ. The last thing the government wants is for the peons to send in a check and actually feel the pain of taxation. So you have two entities being taxed on the same event.
Now if that was not bad enough this idea of insurers must cover pre existing conditions will also be a major disaster. Lets say Mike is 27 in good health makes $35K a year as a landscape guy. He gets into a car accident...he has no insurance just been paying a $150 a year tax. Once he gets into the hospital he calls Blue Cross and says I wanna sign up! Guess what...they have to take him and pay for his coverage even though he has not paid into the system. Why? Because they cannot deny a pre existing condition. The taxes collected do not go to the insurance companies...SO what insurance company is going to stay in business that way? They won't! There will not be any private health insurance for the masses...just high priced boutique companies and I would say even high end clinics and hospitals.
Once everyone is on the fall back plan then they will have the majority by the balls. So someone with a massive ego and God complex will sit in judgment over who gets what. Of course they will have all the info they need on you...they will cross reference your name with the voter rolls. So they will know what party...and if you are not in the party that wants to advance such "noble" social causes...well your care may take a bit longer.
Preventive care as they will call it, will take a whole new turn. All expectant mothers will be required to have amniocentesis, and birth defects will be treated like a cancer. After all...it will be much to expensive to care for a "defective human". Non approved behaviors will be taxed to the max...but not to the point that people quit, because they still want the tax revenue. Speed limits will be lowered to 50MPH all in the name of saving money on increased health care costs. However they will not change the helmet laws regarding motor cycles. After all not wearing a helmet in a crash results in a greater number of deaths...and deaths are cheaper.
Perhaps one if the only benefits of Ocare will be the border will be locked down. Either by the feds, or by private groups fed up with paying for free heath care for people that do not pay anything into the system.
However there is a silver lining. We have elected officials and that was exactly what the Chief Justice was saying in his opinion. It is up to the citizens to elect people that create the policy we want. So come November, we can change the people and they can change the law.

Charnigocare!
I first wrote this on September 9th 2009...guess what it was a good idea then...and it is now.
Dad always preached to us Charnigo boys KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid), and that is what can be done with heath reform. So here is my plan, I have no degree just 41 years of common sense.
1) End state regulation of Health Insurance; make a universal national standard all companies must follow. As it is now each of the 50 states have their own standards and if you live in PA you can only buy a policy that is from a company in PA. So costs vary from state to state.
2) Create a “free” market for the sale of health insurance. End the practice of the employer buying the policy for us. Instead create a system like the 401K were the employer contributes to an account that we then use to help fund the policy we buy.
3) Give credit for healthy activities. If you belong to a gym or a sports club you get a discount. All smoking succession programs and classes should be free, funded by the taxes ALREADY collected from cigarettes.
4) Create the National Health Service. The National Health Service will consist of a University just like the Naval Academy or West Point. For the promise of service we will train doctors and all ranges of medical specialist from LPNs to Radiologists, to Brian Surgeons. These will be used to staff National Clinics and Hospitals in the poorest areas of the country. But each congressional district will have at least one clinic. The idea is to provide a safety net not a primary care for everyone. Anyone can use the services but they may have to pay if they have insurance already.
5) The employer’s contribution the Health Savings Account and the citizen’s payment to the health insurance will be made using pre tax dollars like now. However if you make under $75K 100% of your contribution will be 100% tax deductable.
6) The funding for all these things will be done in part by closing the tax loop holes that allow companies to be incorporated off shore, and allow private citizens to funnel money into off shore tax havens.
7) End all TV and print ads for both lawyers and medical services and drugs that are not over the counter.
8) Tort reform- Enact a loser pays system, also limit the amount of punitive damages to $1 Million in a life time per person. Compensatory damages will be awarded by a board of made up of physicians and medical providers not by a room full of lawyers.
Well that is 8 things and takes less than a page. Sure I may have missed some things but it is a start.

Social Services = Family Destruction=Growing Government
Well I am now sucked into the social services system in America. I have discovered the main objective of the social services is to perpetuate the existence of the social services system. Now I am not gonna go into all the personal details about MY situation. But if you ask and if I know you I will give them to you.
So here we have a system that wants to create more teat suckers than it wants to create productive tax paying citizens. Here we have a system that wants to keep families broken so they will have to be involved in the system longer and keep them relying on the manna from the tax payers.
It does this by keeping the parties involved in constant conflict, and hopes that this creates more conflict and tension and use of government programs and services.
This is a failed and harmful approach. The best and most successful unit is the family. These agencies should be working hard to keep families together not to tear them apart. BUT...they know a broken family needs more government services and thus...keeping the Leviathan of government going and growing.
Imagine if the social services really cared about creating and uniting families...the strength and unity that would sweep across America, the lives and communities that would be improved...the BILLIONS of tax payers money that would be saved and in turn dumped back into the economy!
But sadly that will not be the case. These folks do not have a mindset of uniting families, and finding a better way. No they only have one goal, to grow the bureaucratic bloat as much and as fast as possible, and they do that by keeping families in a state of conflict in perpetuity.
The social services should be about creating an opportunity for growth and unity in ones self and ones family. It should be the safety net and the helping hand, It should not be the hammock and the handout. It should work to unite, not work to divide. Until that happens...it will be worthless.

Student Loans keep growing...

Why is that? Oh I know the educrats in "big education" keep telling everyone they "need" a collage degree. They do not care if they have the aptitude or even the desire. They just keep drilling into their heads you "have to go to collage". So from the local community collage to small state U to Big State U they are filled to the brim with kids flush with student loans. Those loans prop up the entire pyramid scheme. Well now , if I can borrow Obama's preachers favorite line...."The Chickens are coming home to roost." Big Education has gotten so big it needs even more student loans...I mean students. To keep the scam going. Do you see cuts in the collages in universities? Not token cuts...but real draconian cuts to keep the cost down. HELL NO! So what happens...Big Education keeps taking the loan cash...and churning out people that do not have the ability to get a job to pay back the loan. But what do they care...Big Education cashed the checks. So now we have a class of folks who for better or worse were pressured by the educrats and Big Education to get student loans and go to collage but they cannot find a job that can help them pay off the massive debt they are under. So what happens next...that is the ticking sound you hear. A massive student loan bomb that is going to affect everyone. Well almost everyone...I am sure the Educrats and Big Education will be ok...after all...the checks cleared.
The solution is simple but Big Education won't like it...that is...not everyone needs a collage education. Not every job needs someone with a degree. Or just make getting loans tougher, if you go to the bank and they say..."So what are you getting a degree in? " and you say "Woman's studies" or "Art History" or "Archaeology"...well good luck...but we are not giving you a loan. Come on...the banks are making an investment and they should not have to loan money to some one who will be getting a degree that will not have a ROI. And there should not be ANY government backed student loans they are taking a risk but are not getting any reward.
Maybe if Big Education had to really earn it's tuition...they would be more selective,on it's students and staff. But as long as Big Education keeps getting checks with out consequence of the product it churns out. Nothing will ever change...and the edudebt bomb will explode. And many of those same educrats will be out of a job like the unqualified students they churned out.
Well that is just the way I see it...then again I am an evil genius.

Lawyers, psychologists and chiropractors!
Lawyers, psychologists and chiropractors are all kinda the same job. First...you only go to them as a last resort. Something real shitty had to happen to you. Second they cost a fortune in relationship to the amount of work you see them do. The psychologists are the worst, because all they do is listen...REALLY ...you get paid to LISTEN! The other two are actually doing something you can see...but not the shrink. Third...when you first go you kinda feel good, they listen to you, they make you FEEL better for a bit. It is all kinda cathartic really. But then...well then it all sinks in....they are NEVER going to stop asking you to come back. You never get better, feel better or get all your problems resolved. They keep making money off your misery...and the more you go...the more miserable you feel...but you keep on going hoping that you are eventually gonna feel better than the day the shitty thing happened that sent you to them in the first place. I think common sense and logic should trump the lawyer. No law or rule should be so complex that is can't be written in 1 or 2 sentences. As for the shrink...well that is simple...you go there...unload all the shit you need, they listen ask if you feel better? You say "yep"...they say...come back when you need to vent again. The chiropractors...well they need to crack what needs to be cracked, align what needs to be aligned...ask if you feel better...you say "Yep" and they say come back when you feel "creaky" again. This crap where we MUST keep coming back is BULL SHIT and it is just done for job security.

You know when you are having a hard time...maybe going through a divorce, or some one close to you is very ill, and some one says...well to feel better think of those that have it worse...thats BULL SHIT!
That never works...EVER! Do you think the guy living in a hut in Haiti feels better thinking about the guy in Somalia who has no hut...FUCK NO! Why...because he is living in a hut in Haiti and prolly has never even heard of Somalia unless some Red Cross worker came by and said...."Well I have seen worse...so look on the bright side you have a tar paper shack with a metal roof...I was just in Somalia and he didn't even have a hut!" Great...now get the fuck out!

How comedy gigs are like dating...
When you are a comic the shows are a lot like women and dating. It is filled with ups and downs.In the beginning you start with the open mic. Those guys are like your gang in HS. Guys that you see every week or more and share in your struggle and know all about you. After you open mic a while, you are happy just to get a gig. That is like when you first start dating...yea...I am going out with some one and not hanging with my pals or staying home. They don't happen a lot and you see your other friends getting them too...and you are like...What? Why him...I am funnier than him...they should have picked ME! Then...you start getting gigs that feed you...now you are movin' up...that is like getting to second base. WOW...they are gonna feed me! This is great...I am on my way. NOT SO FAST... See giving away a free meal to a club is well nothing...hell they write down meals all the time, and get a tax deduction. Some times you might be stuck at second base for a while...and that is OK...gotta get better, and you are getting some food.
Now is about the time you are introduced to the SDT of stand-up...the bringer. See a bringer is a show that requires the comic to bring some friends to get stage time, sometimes it is 3 sometimes it can be like 7 or 10. That is like saying...hey...yea...you can come to the party...we like you enough to invite you...but bring some friends...and have them each bring some beer. Some guys get infected with the Bringer SDT, and they don't even know it. They think it is normal...but what it is, is a lazy club owner or promoter that wants you to do more work than him. In this day and age, we all have the ability to promote and over promote our shows. And the more bringers you do as a comic the harder it is to get people to come...because face it...even though they like you and know you are funny...they have heard all your shit 5 and 6 times before. Now some guys keep doing bringers because they think they are good...that is like the chick in school that always put out thinking she is popular. She was not popular because she was good...she was popular because she put out. And a crappy club owner loves a comic that can put asses in the seats, even if he is no good. Now...a good club owner will always book quality, because quality comics not only put asses in the seats...they put asses in the seats that want to come back.
After you have protected your self from the bringers...or have been cured. You move on. The next level is getting real money...yep paid. Now that is 3rd base in dating. WOW...they want to PAY ME! Cash money!!! This is awesome! After a while you really start getting down...why...because even though you got paid, you are not working as much. SO...like in dating...you want to be out as much as you can. But just like women there are only enough shows. You might have worked 8 or 9 weekends in a row in your area and you are on top of the world. Then...nothing....all your friends from open mic are gigging...why not me! Then self doubt creeps in...what is wrong with me, do they not find me funny any more? You go back to the open mics you abandoned because your were "working". Your friends are there...well the ones that do not have a gig the next night...and they comfort you..."Dude, you still are funny. Maybe you are not what they are looking for? You show up at the open mic...and all your buddies are happy for you...on the out side...but really pissed off and are questioning if they are funny now, why did he get that gig...I am better than him they think.
But you don't care...because you got a great gig...for now. It wont be long before the entire cycle starts at the next level. Being a road comic, and longing for a TV spot.

So it seems the Obama administration and the media...they are the same anyway...have gotten their collective briefs in a bunch over this JPMorgan-Chase loss of $2 billion. Now that may seem like a boat load of cash ...or 4 summer vacations for Michelle. But what if I said..."You just lost 50¢ out of a bag that had $100 in it!" Would you go ape shit over that loss of 50¢? See because that is what it really comes down to. The bank lost $2 billion out of a $400 billion portfolio...and get this...they have over $1.27 TRILLION invested. So that means they lost $2 billion of a total of 1.27 Trillion . So they lost .5% of the $400B and... .0016% of the $1.27 Trillion. Yes...they lost less than 1/10th of a penny....and for that...the leftist demand more regulations to protect the little people from the "big evil banks"....yea...so who protects the little people from an out of control government? Looks like it is gonna be Smith & Wesson. Hey I don't think banks should be unregulated, but lets just do the math before we wrap them in the regulatory prophylactic that the left seems to think they need. Investment is about taking a risk...and losing less than a penny...well that is not much of a risk now is it.

Sometimes I really enjoy being an evil genius
When ever I get into a discussion with folks about homosexual "rights" I often bring up that it is a choice. They immediately come back at me with it is biological. Now most people that are heterophobes are also pro choice...ok...I am gonna say 99.9999999998% ARE pro choice. So then I say ..."Ok what if you are right...and it is biological...and they find a gene that is for lack of a better word...the "homo gene."..."Oh that would be great it would prove once and for all that homosexuality IS biological...and you would be WRONG!!!"...they usually reply.
Ok then...now what IF people start to have their fetus' tested for the "homo gene"...and when they find out...they decide to abort the fetus because they do not want a homosexual child??? ... "Oh that would be horrible...wrong...morally offensive to kill a fetus..." Oh?? So you are pro life now?

The slippery slope...
Ahh yes the slippery slope of unintended consequences, or are they? Seems that while everyone has got their underwear bombs in a bunch over a majority of the citizens of North Carolina, joining with a 31 state majority, of prohibiting homosexuals from getting married, they the heterophobes are either missing the point...or have a very sinister master plan.
I do not think a majority of Americans would have issues with civil unions. A legal contract between to people granting them the EXACT same legal rights that married people enjoy. No the problem is with the word MARRIAGE. See marriage is a church function that the government leached on too. Not the other way around...the GOVERNMENT got involved it the church FIRST. Not the other way around as the heterophobes would have you believe.

The churches should dissociate with government marriages all together. The reverends, priests, and rabbis should refuse to do any paperwork or sign any marriage licences in protest. Force EVERYONE that wants to get married to also have to go the the Justice of the Peace for it to be legal in the eyes of big brother. This is not a new idea...there are plenty of places that do just that. Germany is one. Imagine... all those people who get married in churches being forced to the local county seat and tying up the system so they can have their civil unions recognized too?
Let marriage be the religious service, and the civil union be the government document. Unless of course your real goal is to divide the country, and create havoc with the organized religion you loath.

Kids ask the craziest questions...
Ok so for what ever reason last night we were watching the Voice. Out of the blue Jake age 11 asked..."What's a bris?"... I being the bright and honest father that I am tell him..."It is a Jewish religious circumcision ceremony done by a special person called a mohel."...and I thought that was a good enough answer to shut him up. But no...the fun was just beginning..."What is a circumcision?" was his next question. Oh no...now I have entered into a morass...can't keep my mouth shut and say "I don't know" , Nope...if I am gonna be the engineer of this run away train I gotta make sure it plunges all the way down into the canyon. "Ok Jake...you know how your penis has that helmet thing on the top...well that is not how it normally looks when you are born....When you are born it has some extra skin that makes it look kinda like a sausage. It is kinda hard to keep clean that way so most people have it cut off just after they are born". "WHAT!!!!!!!...you have to cut skin off my peepee! OH...this is gonna make the best lunch table story...I am gonna tell everyone. See if they have theirs cut off too"...that's it...next time..."I don't know...google it!" Then I can just play dumb when I get the call from the school and the other parents.

Words
As a comic I am always working with words, looking for new words and even making new words. One of the things I enjoy doing is using the "buzz words" of the leftist against them. Boy do they hate that...first you crush them with logic and common sense, then your coup de grâce is the very words they use.
The leftist like to say they are the champions of choice, tolerance and diversity...that is unless you chose to have a diverse opinion and they cannot tolerate that at all. Then they will call you names...because they cannot use logic and common sense to defend their talking point opinion. They use words like racist,white supremacist, and homophobe.
Well racist works both ways...and the more they use it...well the less impact it has really. I have gone to calling folks like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton black supremacist. I think it is fitting, and it is there true nature. Perhaps if buffoons like them were pushed to the margin, a real dialog could take place.
The next word I have started to use is heterophobe...although you can tack -phobe to the end of any leftist cause and it will have the same affect. Why is it OK for the heterophobe to attack my logic and common sense belief, but I am called a hater when I disagree with there illogical view.
Now here is where the real fun begins...I call homosexual behavior illogical...some can call it immoral...that is fine. But morals can be nebulous to some and really just an opinion...even if it is a globally accepted one.
Here is how you shut down the heterophobe... First ask them if they believe in evolution. Them being good leftist they will proudly say..."Of course!"
Then you ask, well what evolutionary purpose does homosexuality serve? It does not advance the species by procreation...and if homosexuality became and accepted and dominate form of behavior...well then that species would become extinct.
That is when they walk away in a huff...and call you an intolerant homophobe. But really who is the -phobe...and who was intolerant?

So the CIA nabbed another underwear bomber...this bomb was like the other in that it was free of metal and thus unable to be detected by current methods. I am sure this will lead the TSA folks to even more intrusive inspections in the name of safety and security.
I think the time has come to play hardball. Ban all air travel by people who hold passports from any country on the terror watch list. Ban air travel for anyone who has had a visa issued to visit any of those countries in the last 6 months. Will this piss some people off...you bet...but guess what...perhaps you should be holding your fellow countrymen accountable. Otherwise take the bus.
The government(s) do not have to do this, let the airlines do it. If United wants to allow Achmed and Aziz on ...fine...but before a ticket is purchased the buyer would know that United is allowing passengers access that are from countries on the terror watch list. SO...the market will be the arbiter. I would bet in a few weeks all US based airlines and many others would comply. So Achmed would be stuck trying to take down an Air Pakistan jet out of Karachi...and oh well.
I know many in the loonie class will whine about "profiling" or "discrimination"...and I say to them...get your head out of your bleeding heart ass and use some common sense. So far every one of these desert douche bags has fit the profile. They have not been Norwegian grand mothers, or infants from Wyoming. It is this lack of logic and common sense that has made the weenie class the laughing stock of humanity. Oh...and if you bleeding hearts feel so strongly...you are free to ride with them. And when that 747 is in pieces over the Horn of Africa...I am sure your bleeding heart will be literal.

All this talk today about Camden Yards, and well...there is really one person that was responsible for it being built...Robert Irsay. Had the Colts not left town that snowy March night...who knows what and if Camden would have been built. We might have ended up with the last of the concrete doughnuts...not the stadium that would cause a renascence in stadium and arena architecture. It is ironic how the most hated man in Baltimore sports history...changed the sports landscape forever in Baltimore and beyond.
For a small city Baltimore has had a huge impact on the world of sports. mostly the NFL. But think about it...2 of the biggest games in the history of the growth of the NFL involved Baltimore. The '58 "Greatest Game ever Played", and Super Bowl III. And the results of both of those games were exactly what the NFL needed. If the Giants would have won in '58 well it would have just been another NY team winning a title. And if the Colts would have won in SBIII the NFL-AFL merger might not have happened. Then look at the Colts leaving town, that started the dominoes to tumble, Camden Yards was built and it was the new measuring stick by which all stadia would be measured. It truly was a case of if you build it they will come. Soon all cities would worry that their team would move out if they didn't build them not just a stadium or arena, but a destination. The NFL expanded, but left the 2 cities that lost a team behind. Why, well I think it was because the NFL owners wanted the BEST for themselves to move to. And that is just what LA and Cleveland did...and both of those cities did not learn from Baltimore, and one...lost it's team to Baltimore.
Now look at the players that the city is linked to. Cal, Babe, Johnny U, Ray Lewis and Michael Phelps. In their respective sports they are Icons. Babe saved the game from the Black Sox scandal that almost ended America's past time. Cal saved the game from the strike, that drove millions from the game. Johnny U was the QB of a generation, and is still mentioned the same way Ruth is mentioned. Ray Lewis...he is now the standard by witch all other linebackers will be measured. He has played in more Pro Bowls than Dick Butkis played seasons. Ray Lewis might just be the best player in the NFL ever...in any position. Then we have Michael Phelps...he won more gold metals than any Olympic athlete in any sport ever...14 and counting. For such a small place...we have made quite an impact.

Well I book rooms and I am a weekend comic, and I am glad to say I am doing 3 or 4 paid gigs a month. Not a lot, but just what I want to be doing. I have a good day job with good benifits so I am just in it to have a good time, give the folks a good laugh and make some fun money. As a booker I am up front, I tell you what the gig pays and the demo of the room. I usually won’t ask a comic unless they are a good fit. My rooms have been successful for a reason. Now as a comic I expect the same thing from who ever is asking me to do a show. I want them to tell me, what the room is like, how much I time and $$ will be getting, and any other details, whether blue is ok, or expected or they want a PG13 show. In this day of $4 gas, sometimes the drive won’t make much economic sense. If they money does not work, don’t be afraid to be upfront about it. Nothing is worse than hearing a comic bitch about the drive and how he “can’t make any money”…well just tell me “No” it really won’t hurt my feelings. I understand. And …if you take a gig, honor it, the other thing that pisses me off is getting a call 2 weeks before a show after the posters have been printed and hearing…”Dude…um…I can’t make your show, I got a gig closer and it pays better”…Really! Great! But I asked you first you SOB, so forget about being booked again. Oh and as a comic…avoid any and all bringer shows…that just shows you the booker/promoter is either in the wrong room or won’t work to promote the show. I think as a comic you should be promoting the show as much as you can. But you should not be required to have 5 people pay $7 then get 3 menu items. I think if ALL us comics refused to do bringer shows, those guys running them would get the idea. Also as a promoter, be honest, don’t over sell the talents of the comics you are booking…if you say X is selling out rooms in NYC and he or she sucks…not has a bad night…but sucks…well the venue owner will question your ability to spot talent. And as a comic, yea we may all bull shit, but come on…do not say you were on Comedy Central or BET unless you really were. People really don’t care, but it will be obvious if you are not that good. Like anything else in life, don’t be an ass hole, treat people well and they will do the same. AS a comic, treat the wait staff at the venue well. if you are getting a free meal…don’t forget to TIP THEM…maybe tip them double as you didn’t have to pay for the food. AS a booker, treat the comics well, don’t be a post set critic that night, if they bombed they know it. Pay the comics what you agreed to, and if you can, maybe pay them a little more if they really killed it. Also pay them promptly, I know sometimes you have to wait to get paid by the venue. Oh and if you are a booker and you dick someone…well you dicked us all…because by the end of the weekend…every comic in the area will know you dicked someone. So be honest and up front, don’t be an asshole, and don’t dick anyone and we all will be happy.

My healthcare reform plan.
I originally wrote this in May of 2009...not much has changed...I still think it is better that what Obama gave us.
Dad always preached to his 5 sons, KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid), and that is what can be done with heath reform. So here is my plan, I have no degree just 41 years of common sense. (now 44)
1) End state regulation of Health Insurance; make a universal national standard all companies must follow. As it is now each of the 50 states have their own standards and if you live in PA you can only buy a policy that is from a company in PA. So costs vary from state to state.
2) Create a “free” market for the sale of health insurance. End the practice of the employer buying the policy for us. Instead create a system like the 401K were the employer contributes to an account that we then use to help fund the policy we buy.
3) Give credit for healthy activities. If you belong to a gym or a sports club you get a discount. All smoking succession programs and classes should be free, funded by the taxes ALREADY collected from cigarettes.
4) Create the National Health Service. The National Health Service will consist of a University just like the Naval Academy or West Point. For the promise of service we will train doctors and all ranges of medical specialist from LPNs to Radiologists, to Brian Surgeons. These will be used to staff National Clinics and Hospitals in the poorest areas of the country. But each congressional district will have at least one clinic. The idea is to provide a safety net not a primary care for everyone. Anyone can use the services but they may have to pay if they have insurance already.
5) The employer’s contribution the Health Savings Account and the citizen’s payment to the health insurance will be made using pre tax dollars like now. However if you make under $75K 100% of your contribution will be 100% tax deductable.
6) The funding for all these things will be done in part by closing the tax loop holes that allow companies to be incorporated off shore, and allow private citizens to funnel money into off shore tax havens.
7) End all TV and print ads for both lawyers and medical services and drugs that are not over the counter.
8) Tort reform- Enact a loser pays system, also limit the amount of punitive damages to $1 Million in a life time per person. Compensatory damages will be awarded by a board of made up of physicians and medical providers not by a room full of lawyers.

Could the Marshall Plan really have hurt Europe, causing the problems of today?

I asked him, why is it he still works hard every day, but if he lived in Greece he would have retired at 54 and got 90% pension. Well...it was like I poked him with a stick. For the next 20 minutes he gave me a really interesting lecture that well I never though of before. Between the wars there was a great migration of what he called the "Entrepreneur and Working Class" out of Western Europe. Most of them went to the US, Canada, Argentina, and Australia. After the Second World War the Marshall Plan went into effect to help Europe recover from the devastation of the war, and to prevent Communism from taking over the west. But instead of being a building block to rebuild Europe, it became a hand out. The Entrepreneur Class was gone and there was nothing to fill the void except government. This was the birth of the Nanny State across Europe. The governments took over what private industry should have done. To keep the people happy they just gave away what they could, with birthrates on the rise they knew the next generation would be able to foot the bill. The people got used to getting a lot of somethings for a little nothings, there was also some guilt from the older generations to make sure the younger generations do not have to suffer as they did. So the more Uncle Sam gave the more they took and gave away. In essence because they (Europe/Greece) did not have the do or die mentality because that class was gone and they did not really have the need since Uncle Sam was holding the safety net they created entire nations of folks who thought they were entitled to XYZ because they suffered through the wars. They of course gave birth to kids who wanted even more, like free universal health care, free collage education, retirement at 54, 6 to 8 week vacation, 52-100 weeks of PAID maternity leave, and the list goes on. Eventually reaching the point were their is no incentive to work because the government will take care of all your needs. Well eventually it all comes crashing down. The support (taxed) population decreases to a point were the cash is not there for the programs the people feel they are entitled to...and well BOOM! He believes that if Europe would have been allowed to recover on its own with little or limited US backing that it would have been stronger in the long run, because you would not have had the explosion of the entitlement class, and you would have had developed a new entrepreneur class to replace the one that left between the wars. Is he right? Well he sure made a good argument. And he had a butcher knife in his hand the entire time to I was not going to challenge him. But I think he hit on something that most never thought of.

I know most of the spring sports have gotten underway, but you can do this in the fall. If you are a coach of an U10 team...and it does not matter what sport. When you have your player draft...pick the kids with the hottest moms. And you can be creative...have a theme...big boobs, blonds, single mom's, nice legs...what ever really. Because face it, the season will get long...at least you will have something nice to look at.

Ok...this is getting just a wee bit crazy... Spike Lee famous for being a fan of the New York Knicks has thought it was a good idea to publish the home address of George Zimmerman. Now remember those peaceful members of the New Black Party have decided to offer $10K for some one to "capture" Mr. Zimmerman...sorta like a run away slave. I wonder if those good folks at the New Black Panthers offer $10K for every one that shoots a black person, or just when it is a non 100% black person. The media is loath to report that Mr. Zimmerman is of mixed race...just like our President. I love the irony that the same people that are into the "Stop Snitchin'" movement, are all for some one "snitchin'" on Mr. Zimmerman... WOW...Capture...I think the police have a good idea where he is. Now I wonder what those good and benevolet folks at the New Black Panther party would do with Mr. Zimmerman? I remember my history and when the Klan would do this...they didn't need to offer any cash...they would just lynch them. SO where is the outcry from Jessie, Al and The President of ALL of the US? I think the President and his reelection folks want to keep fanning the flames of devision, Whether is it the phony "War on Woman" or now this. I am sure there will be more coming. Lord knows he cannot run on what he as done for the nation. I see this becoming a summer of distraction by the pro Obama forces. The last thing they want is the population at large to think about the looming $5 a gallon gas and the soon to be rising prices, let alone the continued 15% real unemployment and the stagnant housing market. I could only wonder what Je$$ie, Al and the Pre$ident of US, would say if say the Son's of the KKK offered a similar bounty for the 3 African American men that shot the white student at Mississippi State University last night. The really odd thing is very few news outlets are reporting the story...and even fewer are reporting the races of the suspects. NOW...how in the hell are people supposed to "BOLO" for 3 people when you do not give us any description of the people other than a car... Reminds me of the wild goose chase that was the DC Beltway Sniper...you all remember that...A white guy in a white van....but really it was 2 African Americans in a sedan. Quit being so dam PC and walking on eggshells...the media has no trouble when it comes to ID'ing the suspect when the suspects are white, Asian, or Hispanic...but have a hard time saying...African American. I don't know about you...but when they do not say the race...I assume it is AA because otherwise they would have.

My guess is the teacher was enjoying the show...but what the fuck is wrong with society. When I was in 3rd grade girls were still "icky". I am assuming that both children were of the opposite sex otherwise the teacher would have been championed for "Allowing the children to explore there sexuality." or some such bull shit. And if a teacher misses 2 kids having sex under a desk in class. I am guessing they are missing a shitload more than that every day. But I bet the teacher has tenure and the union will be with them all the way. Just another example of the steady march to Gomorrah.
